I had quite an interesting chat with a friend this evening who said that they've made around $3500 from affiliate links this month. Now these affiliate links were thrown in via google AdWords selections. So being as curious as I am I decided to investigate this a bit further. Google tells me that they serve 80% of active internet users but Yahoo tells me they serve 90% - so who's telling the truth here.
Looking at the log files for my technology blog shows that most of my results are actually coming from google, and the same can se said for this site. So does that mean that people looking for technological things are more inclined to use google? Who should I be using for sponsored searches - google or yahoo.
I should probably be using both I guess but I wonder if you could determine what user groups are more likely to use a certain search engine.
