Offline files in Windows XP

Tried to make my .PST file available offline so that I could use Microsoft Outlook on my spare PC but was greeted with the wonderful error of "Error Message: Files of This Type Cannot Be Made Available Offline".

Microsoft seem to think that certain file types (and probably rightly so) are not very good candidates for being made available offline so they've gone and "banned" them. So to cut a long story I found out http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=252509

Which allows you to selectively select which files must be excluded from being made offline. So run GPEDIT.MSC select Administrative Templates, Network, Network, Offline Files and double click on "Files not cached". Then enter something like

.slm;.mdb;.ldb;.mdw;.mde;.db?

So logoff and you'll now be able to make PST files offline!
