NFC Scanning with My Opal
I'm really happy to announce that Android users of My Opal now have the ability to scan the contents of their Opal card on NFC-enabled devices. Your Opal card contains a wealth of information including:
- card number
- balance
- total transactions
- the number of journeys you’ve made this week
- the last mode you took
- whether your journey is in progress
- what your previous tap was
- your last transaction
Having access to your tap-off time is extremely useful and will allow users to make more use of the 60 minute transfer window that Opal offers. No more missing the cut-off by a minute or two!
This feature is available to all Android users with a once-off in-app purchase.
